Dave Christensen Music

Dave started playing guitar in the 50’s, playing the golden oldies at high school parties and sing-a-longs.  While in college in the Midwest, he formed a whimsical country band called the Campus Cut-Ups which entertained at college dances and parties.  He later accompanied a modern jazz singing group and directed a fraternity produced musical follies.

Following a stint in the Army, Dave began a corporate management career while raising his family in New Jersey.  Dave and several business friends formed a versatile swing band, playing and singing at dances, parties and weddings, on weekends throughout the 1960’s.  

Corporate relocations and management advancement took him away from the guitar for many years, but after he retired on Cape Cod and his wife passed away, Dave took the advice of his old New Jersey band buddies and started entertaining as a solo act at Cape nursing homes. 

He knows he brings pleasure to others, but insists he enjoys every engagement at least as much as his audience.
